Mung beans, which we call ‘Mung Eta’ is something very familiar to us. An ordinary Sri Lankan kitchen cooks mung beans at least once in two weeks in some way or other.

Before they started using mung beans in gourmet dishes in five star restaurants, traditional Ayurveda used mung beans. They advised people to consume mung beans because of the wholesome health benefits.
