FIRST UAE VISA CENTER OPENS IN COLOMBO

The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Colombo officially opened its Visa Centre at No. 112, Reid Avenue, Colombo 3, on Monday 6th October 2014, in the presence of H.E. Mr. Mohamed Meer Abdullah Al Raisi — Under Secretary of the UAE Foreign Ministry and H.E. Mr. Abdulhamid A K Al Mulla — UAE Ambassador in Sri Lanka.
The Chief Guest for this event was Hon. (Prof.) G L Peiris — Minister of External Affairs in Sri Lanka, and there were many Ministers from Sri Lanka and distinguished guests from UAE and Sri Lanka who graced this occasion.
This is the first Visa Centre established out of the United Arab Emirates, by the Government of UAE, which clearly indicates the strong, cordial and friendly relationship between the two countries and the support extended by the Sri Lankan Government. The establishment of this Centre will afford all facilities and excellent services for Sri Lankans, who are being employed in the United Arab Emirates, by way of granting employment visas, saving the time of the employees who are travelling and rendering a secure and accurate service.
This Centre was established within a short span of time, due to the assistance of the Government of Sri Lanka and relevant Authorities in Sri Lanka, which results in further strengthening the existing relations between the two countries. It is also assured that the Centre will do their utmost to provide an excellent service to the Sri Lankans.
