Rotary District 3220 hosted the Strides for Life charity fashion show recently, with a mission to globally eradicate polio. Under the leadership of Ms. Bernadine Jayasinghe, Chairman of Rotary Polio Plus for Sri Lanka and Maldives, the event featured celebrities, business leaders, and professionals walking the runway for a noble cause. The Chief Guest, District Governor Jerome Rajendram, highlighted the significance of maintaining vigilance despite achieving Polio-free status in 2015, emphasizing Rotary’s ongoing investment of over 2.1 billion USD in the eradication effort. Choreographed by Miss Sri Lanka RozanneDiasz, the fashion show drew the participation of more than 1000 attendees, uniting diverse industries in support of Rotary’s relentless mission to end polio globally. The event aimed to create hope, allowing individuals to confidently stride through life while raising awareness and funds for the cause.
