Saarc Women’S Association Marks International Women’S Day Balance For Better

In a rich event, SAARC Women’s Association Sri Lanka Chapter, marked International Women’s Day in Colombo on 28th March, 2019, celebrating some of Sri Lanka’s eminent Power Women, honoring 8 recognised personalities who have climbed to the top in the local SAARC arena. The event was sponsored by Orient Finance PLC. Distinguished women were gathered to share their common joy of womanhood on one platform. The newly elected President, Roshnie de Saram said that this is only one programme of many she intends to have to promote people-to-people contact and greater interaction amongst professionals from the Member Countries to strengthen the process of social, economic and cultural development of the SAARC region as envisaged in the SAARC Procedural Code and Charter.
