Sri Lankan Airlines Celebrates Sinhala / Tamil New Year at Departure Lounge

The Departure Lounge at the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport was a hype of activity recently with SriLankan Airlines organising a fun-filled two day celebration of Sinhala and Tamil New Year. Passengers walking by were mesmerised by the Raban playing and keeping an eye on the elephant blind-folded game and most of them wanted to try out the activity. The Chieftain of the village and his wife the Menike also built up the curiosity of the international passengers and they wanted to find out more about traditional Sri Lankan customs and activities during New Year.
