The history of the area, the legends, the myths were celebrated and recalled through various creative items staged during the event.  Art and the history of art entangled with lives of the people living in the area, were widely discussed throughout the programme.Reverend Vaththewewe Dhammananda thero and Reverend Kadugannawe Piyadassie thero conducted lectures on the history of the area while Reverend Beligala Amarasiri thero and Reverend Kadigamuwe Wimalananda thero discussed about the long span of good and bad myths in and about the area. The speech on the history of art in the area, was given by Professor Podi Nilame. Singers and dancers from the area perfomed to the music provided by Sakuna Flash musical group. The event, rich with creativity, knowledge and entertainment, was organized by Deshamanya Mangalasiri Suraweera.
