Cereals are probably the greatest source of energy. It is important that your child receives the required types of food to gain energy, in order to perform acts relevant to his/ her age.
High Mineral Content
Cereals have high mineral content. Apart from main minerals, Zinc, Copper and Manganese are also present in cereals in very small quantities. Minerals are very important in child growth.
Provides Protein
Proteins are present in every tissue of the cereal grain. ‘Protein’ is one of the major nutrients children need.
Source of Vitamins
If your child is suffering from a deficiency in Vitamin B complex, add whole grain cereals to your diet. Cereals
are rich sources of vitamin.
Prevents Cancer
Whole wheat products reduce the chances of breast cancer. When a child consumes cereal from a small age,
he/she will be able to keep away from cancer.
Prevents Constipation
Cereals have both insoluble and soluble fibers and thus, it is advisable to consume whole cereals to cure extreme constipation troubles. Since kids often have constipation problems, giving cereal is a good idea.
Maintains Blood Sugar Level
The fiber content in cereals decreases the speed of glucose secretion from food, thereby maintaining sugar
