Head lice infestation of scalp

Anyone can get a head lice infestation. Although living in poor socio economic conditions is found to be a common reason for it, head lice infestation can be found in people all over the world. Rich or poor, young or old, clean or unclean scalps…anyone can suffer from head lice. Children suffer more from head lice than adults. 

How do you get infested with head lice? 

Head lice spread directly or transfer from hair of one person to another due to close contact. The female louse lays eggs which are called nits. They stick to hair shafts. When the eggs hatch, lice come out. They feed on blood from your scalp.
