Cheese and Bacon Scrolls
Scroll Dough
- 300g Flour
- 1tsp Sugar
- ¼ tsp Chillie Powder
- ½ tsp Baking powder
- ½ tsp yeast
- 1egg
- 200ml milk
- 75g butter
- 1/2tsp Salt
Bacon Filling
- 200g Bacon Chopped and fried
- 200g Grated Cheese
- 3tbs Parsley Chopped
- 1 onion Chopped
Method
Sieve flour and baking powder into a small bowl,add sugar, yeast, butter, chilliepowder, salt, and egg. Gradually add milk and make it into a soft dough until light and smooth.Roll the dough out to a 36x25cm rectangle about 1cm thick. Sprinkle fried bacon, Cheese, onion and parsley over and roll up like a Swiss roll cut into 12 slices.Place the cut side up on a greased baking tray. Then egg wash and sprinkle bacon and cheese over scroll.Bake in a pre heated oven 200Oc for 15 minutes.
