Now that the dust is settling down after the celebrations and money well spent children in your circle will not be in the mood to get back into routine. To them, the euphoria will continue up until school begins. Adjustments are difficult, and yet, they must adjust. It is part of the plan in parenting. Looking back on the past year it would do well to recall the mishaps and celebrate the victories. Most parents would breathe a sigh of relief as the children prepare for a new school year. For first timers children from preschoowl moving to primary and those setting out to preschool is indeed a mix of anxious excitement.

Understand that every child needs to sharpen their thinking skills. To do this effectively it is best to lay out a content table ; you might recognize it as a time table. A content table has the important information for the child without the times. For preschoolers it would be best to draw some pictures. Having helped myself and many other parents the content table is a keeper. As children grow you have to change the contents to suit their activities. Birthdays and other celebrations should be added on to this so that children grow up with the dates etched in their memory. They also can plan ahead with cards and simple gifts for their loved ones.
