It is revealed that eggs are an excellent source of high quality protein and are less expensive but it could give you a boost to your cholesterol levels. We know that too much of anything could
have its disadvantages and be mindful of the intake of not only eggs but other proteins and nutritional food.
We would like to present you a few recipes on how you can make eggs work for your skin and hair at home. These are age old recipes that have been passed down with time.
EGG SHAMPOO
We see many advertisements how an egg shampoo can revitalize and rejuvenate your hair with all the leading brand names but it doesn't have to be a big brand name that could give you what your require at a high price. Instead it is quite simple if you could make it at home at your time and space as the results will be far better than using a big brand name that is available in
the market. Try out this simple recipe at home and feel the difference with this age old beauty therapy.
Ingredients :
Egg, water
Method :
Beat up one or two eggs with a cup of water and thoroughly massage this into your hair.
Leave on for about 5-10 minutes and rinse off thoroughly. (Do not use hot water.) You could
also beat up one or two eggs in a cup of water and mix it to one – two tablespoons of your
regular shampoo.
YOGURT AND EGG SHINE
Eggs act as a conditioner for flyaway hair and gives it sheen. Therefore to complement with your egg shampoo make your own egg conditioner to keep that extra healthy look in your hair. Eggs and yogurt provide you with all the ingredients you find in your branded conditioner. Try
out this recipe and feel the difference at a very low cost. They are not only easy to use but also saves you time and money with no after effects.
Ingredients :
Six tbsp natural yogurt
One egg.
Method :
Whisk egg and yogurt together in a bowl until well blended. Massage evenly into the scalp and hair for four minutes. Wrap the hair in a warm towel and leave for 10-15 minutes before
rinsing the hair thoroughly.
Apart from the yogurt and egg treatment conditioner there are two other types of conditioners that you would be able to make with eggs; one with honey and the other with baby oil.
HONEY CONDITIONER
For those who do not wish to use baby oil this conditioner is best suited as there is an oil that moisturizes your hair yet it’s not something for a baby but fit enough for any age. You could use olive or coconut oil instead of the baby oil with a teaspoon of honey and an egg to make this quick conditioner.
Ingredients :
One egg, one tsp honey, two tsp
coconut or olive oil
Method :
Beat up the egg with honey and oil and massage this mixture in to the scalp. Steam the hair and then shampoo. This will leave the hair looking great and easy to manage.
