Oshadhi’s penchant for creativity took root early in life. By pouring her colourful thoughts into creative writing, and developing her musical abilities all from a very young age, she allowed her artistic flair to become an engine that would later propel her in her career as a Marketing professional. While being equipped with the continued ambition to further her dreams as a career woman, she also perseveres in putting her family first and for this she looks towards her Mother for inspiration. “My Mother is a role model to me, and my innate nature of getting things done comes from her,” mentions Oshadi as she recalls fond memories from her childhood. Ms. Somasinghe’s resilience and perseverence, both in the work sphere and at home is admirable. I look back fondly at my childhood and at the heart of it lays Zambia, the country I lived in and learnt from as a child. While being exposed to much diversity during my formative years, I feel this has proved to be very useful for my personal development and career. It is also the place I acquired a good grounding and knowledge in the English language – which subsequently ignited my passion for creative writing and later sparked my interest for music, particularly playing  the piano.
