Vindya started her career with John Keells Group, a well known business conglomerate in the country and moved onto Virtusa after 7 years. Her stint at Virtusa was 12 years gaining expertise as Head of Talent Acqusition and later as a Senior Business Partner in HR. She then moved on to Millennium IT Software, as Senior Business Partner in HR and worked there for over 3 years.  Currently, she is holding the position of Director – HR at Senok Group of companies. Vindya married Minindu Cumaratunga in 1996 after their teenage romance from high school. Minindu, an early retired Senior Police Officer and an old Anandian hails from the Cumaratunga Munidasa family. He’s the youngest grandson of the literary genius of the Sinhala Language, Munidasa Cumaratunga, who is also considered as the father of Sinhala Language and grammar who was also a grammarian, commentator, writer, poet, and journalist.
