The innovator behind Quebee Den (Pvt) Ltd, the makers of Ready to Eat Infant Food in Sri Lanka with its brand BELLYBEES.
Rohanthi explained to us in an exclusive interview about her innovative idea coming to life and now a product in its own right, Ready to Eat Infant products, Bellybees has expanded their infant brand into Cereal products, Toddler Food, Kids Food, Fruit or Vegetable Juices, Frozen Juice Pulps, and Family convenient food products which all consist of 100% natural raw materials with no added preservatives.
Born and raised in Sri Lanka, Rohanthi is a published author of 8 children’s books Winning the Editors Choice award and becoming the Poetry Ambassador for United Sates in 2007. She developed a CSR publication for MAS Holdings during her employment and it is now available around the world and accreted by Incead and the world UN Global Compact.
Rohanthi has a Masters degree in Business Management from Australia, a BSc. in Business from the University of Minnesota - USA and a JASTECA Scholarship winner in Leadership and Innovation from Japan and a Diploma in Early Childhood Development and Education.
Her efforts to re-invent the future with healthy and safe products that will uplift sustainability of the country recognized her to become JCI’s Top 10 Outstanding Young Persons of Sri Lanka 2016, National Business Excellence Awards Winner 2017, Represented Sri Lanka at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2017, Entrepreneur of the year in 2014 and 2016, International Women CEO in 2016 and attracted investors from around the world when she became the 2nd best start up in Sri Lanka through Venture Engine in 2016.
As a mother of two, Rohanthi continuously reminds the community that “it is our duty to ensure the environment our children grow up in is safe… that is why Quebee Den Exists because preserving our future is the right thing to do.
In a country where innovations are limited, Rohanthi has broken the glass ceiling to be one of the most sought after baby and toddler food manufacturers with style and class. She tells Lanka Woman how she did it.
