Radiesha can you tell Lanka Woman about Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams Sri Lanka? Can we know about the architecture and theme of the hotel?

Cinnamon Life is the largest private investment in the history of the country at over 1.2 billion dollars. The vision for Cinnamon Life began over 10 years ago . The Board approached Cecil Balmond, the British, Sri Lankan internationally renowned architect to create an iconic landmark. He then developed a quick sketch of his vision on a tissue. He talks about the design of the building being a metaphoric representation of a guard stone, to stand as an entry point to the future city of Colombo. This ambitious project acts as a catalyst to raise the bar in Sri Lanka. This land used to be home to the Ceylon Cold Stores, the Fountain Cafe, and the Head Office of John Keells Holdings, so there’s a lot of history to this beautiful address. If you’re looking at it from the outside it’s completely a bold and progressive design statement against the colonial design backdrop Colombo is quite used to. This is a very edgy building and it adds further character to our charming Colombo. Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams encompasses 687 rooms, two pools, five ballrooms, one stunning outdoor venue and fifteen restaurants and bars. The views are pretty stunning, and arguably some of the best views of the City. The two floating cantilevers have 270 degrees views of the Indian Ocean, never failing to take our breath away every time we walk into those spaces.
