A wedding ceremony is a very special occasion for the young couple who have decided to get married and start a new phase together in their lives. June is a popular time in the year for weddings to take place and it is a very busy time for any service provider who is involved in organizing weddings.
Sri Lanka enjoys a diverse culture where cultural rituals of Buddhists, Hindus, Christians, Muslims, and many other sects are present and each of their rituals is as different as it gets. This contributes to a very colourful and interesting culture. Organizing a wedding in Sri Lanka has become quite a complex event. Though everyone follows the rituals that are done from as long as one can remember, we all may not know the original idea/reason behind any one of these rituals. It would be interesting to know what they really mean, for each one of these rituals is there for a specific reason…
