To make life easier, and the season more enjoyable, here’s a Christmas menu that’s as grand as Christmas itself but not as heavy a hit on the pocket. Merry Christmas and happy cooking to you and yours!

The Menu

  • Cheesy potato salad – Rs.350/=
  • Triple treat sausages – Rs.800/=
  • Garlic bread – Rs.150/=
  • Creamy pasta – Rs.500/=
  • Dessert: Chocolate pudding with vanilla ice cream – Rs.400/=
Ready to eat Roast Chicken is available for sale for Rs.650/= at a certain chain of supermarkets and also at a popular chain of Meat sellers. Set it up on a long oval shaped plate and garnish with lettuce and sliced cucumber. Sprinkle some pepper on the garnishing before presenting it. The Cheesy Potato Salad is quite easy and fun to prepare. Clean and then cut up 500g of potato into cubes. Boil it for 10 minutes and set aside in a glass bowl. Heat up a pan and add two wedges of Cheese from the local grocery store. Add a 1/4 cup of milk and then stir in a low flame until it bubbles up. Then pour it over the potato salad and toss until evenly coated. Garnish with a handful of chopped spring onion. Kids love the next item the most. Triple Treat Sausages can be considered as the equivalent to the traditional serving of ham at the Christmas table. Here's what you buy.
